Car buffs converged on the Elks Lodge in Charlottesville Saturday for the 5th Annual Elks, Doe Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show.
Thirty-eight cars turned out in the heat. The car that won best car is a 1955 Bel Air two door hardtop. This is the second time the car's owner has bought the same car.
Owner Hoyt Spradlin said, “I did own a brand-new 1955 Chevrolet. The payments on it were $47 a month for three years and the cost of the car was $1800.”
The cost of the car now is $76,000.
Proceeds from the car show will be donated to community based groups in need.
