RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Republican congressional candidate Dave Brat says his campaign represents all corners of the Republican Party.

Brat held a news conference Thursday outside his campaign headquarters in Glen Allen.

He did not take questions from reporters. Brat has been keeping the media at a distance since his stunning upset win against U.S. House Majority Leader Eric Cantor in the 7th District's GOP primary last week.

Brat announced that Amanda Chase, who worked on Cantor's campaign in 2010, will be taking over as interim campaign manager.

He also says part of his campaign will focus on the need for term limits.

Democrat Jack Trammell is set to face Brat in the general election. Both teach at Randolph-Macon College.
