PVCC is offering to set aside land for a new CATEC where the two could share programs like nursing and auto repair.
“A lot of these partnerships are tied to the location. The location would facilitate it. We'd have a lot of advantages, but creating that partnership and making that partnership work is a critical piece whether we do that at our existing facility or build a new facility at the PVCC site,” said Steve Koleszar, vice chair of the CATEC board.
Building a new school would cost an estimated $16 million - $20 million. CATEC’s board will get an update on all the options at its meeting in August.
