One Suspect Arrested in Connection to Hardy Drive Murder

Posted: Updated:

UPDATE 8/7/14: Brittany Alamo appeared in Charlottesville General District Court on August 7. The hearing was continued and rescheduled for October 2 at 2 p.m. in Charlottesville General District Court.

Charlottesville police have made an arrest in connection to a murder on Hardy Drive - but the prime suspect in the case is still on the run.

Brittany Alamo, 29, is behind bars after she was arrested Monday, charged with tampering with evidence in the case.

Police are still looking for Avery Gray Jr., who's charged with the first-degree murder of 36-year-old Oscar Brown.

Investigators say Brown was killed outside an apartment complex one month ago. His family says he was visiting the Hardy Drive neighborhood when he was shot.
