A valley performance house is closing its doors this weekend.
For three years, the Gateway Theatre in downtown Waynesboro has showcased a variety of performances from music and magic to history lectures and the River City Radio Hour. But the building that houses the Gateway will soon be the new home of the P. Buckley Moss Museum.
"Musicians love performing in here as well as other people. It's a great listening room. There's no other place like it around here,” said Clair Myers, executive director of the Wayne Theatre Alliance.
The alliance is planning pop-up shows and fundraisers at various venues until the new Wayne Theatre is finished some time in 2015.
