The United States men’s national soccer team makes its debut at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil Monday night, and fans around the country are tuning in to show their support - including those in Charlottesville.

The grills are fired up and beer is being poured nonstop at Champion Brewery in downtown Charlottesville for excited fans hoping to see the Americans win their opener against Ghana.

Fans at Champion Brewery are sporting red, white and blue to watch this highly anticipated match.

Charlottesville-based butcher shop JM Stock Provisions & Supply is providing hamburgers and hot dogs for the event.

People are filling up seats by the bar and throughout the brewery to get prime spots in front of the big screens. The game against Ghana will officially kick off at 6 p.m.

Champion Brewery is open for all World Cup games - regardless of time. Champion is also doing a $3 beer special on their Killer Kolsch during all World Cup games.
