Family Fun at Grace Episcopal Church Benefits Community

Posted: Updated:

Grace Episcopal Church in Keswick is helping its neighbors in need, with some family fun.

This was the fifth year the church sponsored its farm tour.

It featured about 30 artisan craft makers, a petting zoo full of animals, and tours of the church among other activities. Proceeds will go to several nonprofits in the community.

Rachel Harrison, the event co-chair said "All the dollars that are raised here go back into what we call 'Grace Community Ministries.' They're organizations - Habitat for Humanity, hospice, Boys and Girls Club - a lot of organizations that you would recognize part of the community, so it really is a community event rather than just a Grace church event."

The farm tour was started to bring financial support to those charitable organizations after the economy crashed in 2008.
