The Hibachi Grill on Route 29 in Albemarle County is back open for business Friday.

The restaurant closed three weeks ago because a grease fire damaged it. For its reopening, staff members say they have added eight new items to the menu, including grilled chicken, roast beef, and sweet pork dishes.

Staff members also say the facility is cleaner than ever. But mainly, employees are just happy to be back at work.

"We're ecstatic. I've been off my feet for a few days, so since the fire I haven't worked so I'm glad I'm back,” said Anthony Collazo, a host at Hibachi Grill. "I didn't expect it to look this good after three weeks, but they did a fast job cleaning up so it looks good."

The staff didn't have to replace any equipment.
