Madison Bus Driver Charged After Hitting VDOT Vehicle

MADISON COUNTY, Va (WVIR) -

Virginia State Police are reporting that 42-year-old Edna Broyles is charged with reckless driving after the school bus she was operating crashed into the back of a parked Virginia Department of Transportation vehicle. The accident happened on Route 29 northbound near Fairgrounds Road just after 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Thirty-nine students were on board and two were taken to the UVA Medical Center with minor injuries.

The VDOT driver was taken to Culpeper Regional Hospital.
