CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va (WVIR) - The University of Virginia's new McArthur squash center has earned recognition for going green.

Sunday at the Boar's Head Sports Club, the U.S. Green Building Council awarded the center LEED certification, which takes into account sustainability and energy efficiency.

The 33,000 foot facility opened in April of 2013 and includes eight singles courts and two doubles courts.
