A slain Waynesboro police reserve captain will be remembered with a blood drive on Monday.
Albemarle County police are sponsoring the drive in honor of Kevin Quick. Quick was headed to a friend’s house in Albemarle County on January 31 but never made it. His car was seen on surveillance footage in Manassas February 1, and found February 3 at a home in Louisa County. His body was found February 6 in Goochland County.
Quick died of a gunshot wound, and nine gang members have been charged in relation to his death.
The blood drive in his honor will run from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday at the Holiday Inn on Emmet Street.
