People in Charlottesville got their first look at new conceptual plans for McIntire Park Tuesday night.
The city's parks and recreation department held an open house at the Carver Recreation Center to get feedback.
Community members scanned designs for the eastern portion of McIntire Park and the planned trail bridge over the railroad tracks.
"The master planning process itself, which ended in 2012, took an entire year and we want to be sure that the community whose master plan it is has the opportunity to weigh in on the specifics of what's going to be in certain portions of the park," said parks and recreation director Brian Daly.
Parks and rec is planning to have another open house in about a month.
Anyone who missed the open house can review the plans on the city's website, where they’ll be posted Wednesday morning.
