U.S. Senator Mark Warner stopped in Charlottesville Friday afternoon as part of the ongoing "Working Together" tour across the commonwealth.
Supporters and other community leaders joined Warner at Hemoshear LLC along Locust Avenue. As Warner runs for re-election, he is sharing his message of bipartisan solutions for issues including student debt, immigration reform and the economy.
“The only way we are going to get these things fixed in Washington is if we got people who are willing to work across the aisle and be bipartisan and everything I've done as governor and in five years in the Senate has been about that,” Warner said.
The Hemoshear facility is the eighth stop on the senator's statewide tour.
Warner says he wants to get rehired because he believes everyone in this country deserves a fair shot.
