CHS Boys Soccer Wins Conference Title; Beats Harrisonburg 3-2
Charlottesville won the Conference 23 Championship
The Charlottesville high school boys soccer team rallied from a 2-1 second half deficit to beat Harrisonburg 3-2 for the Conference 23 championship.
Charlottesville's Musa Mohammed scored the game-tieing goal on a penalty kick with about four minutes left to tie the game at 2-2. Two minutes later Theo Heard scored the game-winning goal with about two minutes remaining in regulation to give the Black Knights an exciting 3-2 win and the Conference 23 Title.
In other playoff action Friday, The Fluvanna County HS girls soccer team lost to Handley 1-0 on a golden goal in double-overtime in the Conference 23 finals.
The Louisa County softball team beat Fluvanna 5-4 in the playoffs. Louisa hosts Carroll county in the 4A quarterfinals. Fluvanna will play at Bassett.
The William Monroe HS baseball team loses to Loudoun Valley 12-1 in the Conference 29 championship game.
