The graduates of Saint Anne’s Belfield School had a special guest at their ceremony. Former congressman and fellow graduate Tom Perriello spoke to the 78 graduates of the class of 2014 Friday morning.
He urged the students to be a voice in today's world and to strive to be agents of change.
His speech was brief but had a very clear message. “It is more important to have passion than to have a plan. It's good to have a plan. I’m sure you'll go home and talk to your parents about your plan. But if you do what you are most passionate about, you will do it excellently and you will live life to the fullest,” he stated.
Perriello graduated from STAB in 1992.
