Crowds Packed Gypsy Hill Park for Art in the Park Festival
STAUNTON, Va. (WVIR) -
Hundreds of people had the chance to enjoy some art, food and live music Saturday as the Staunton Augusta Art Center hosted its 48th annual Art in the Park Festival.
Crowds packed Staunton's Gypsy Hill Park. Area artists displayed their work, while judges made their way around to decide on award winners.
“We have high quality work here. This is a juried event with art and fun craft, we have musicians playing every hour on the hour at the bandstand, we have food vendors, and behind me we have a kid's tent.” said Executive Director Beth Hodge.
The art center says it started working on the event back in April.
The festival continues Sunday from noon until 5 p.m.
