Staunton Augusta Art Center to Host Art Show, Festival

Posted: Updated:

It is a huge weekend for the Staunton Augusta Art Center.

Friday night kicks off an exhibit called “The American Landscape” featuring 90 pieces of art at two locations. Saturday and Sunday will be the 48th annual Art in the Park - in the bandstand area of Gypsy Hill Park in Staunton - with more than 60 artisans.

“Fifteen of our vendors this year are brand-new to Art in the Park, so it's really something to come see. And we challenge all of our other artists and artisans to continue to evolve. So every year when you come to Art in the Park you're going to see new and different work,” said Beth Hodge, the center’s executive director.

And it’s a family affair, with food, music and activities for children - and there's no admission fee. Art in the Park runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
