STAUNTON, Va (WVIR) -

A staple of the Shenandoah Valley is showing its appreciation for servicemen and servicewomen.

The Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library and Museum announced Wednesday its participation as a Blue Star Museum, and it’s one of 2,000 nationwide. This means free admission for all active-duty military, reserve and National Guard personnel, as well as their families, from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Bob Robinson, with the Woodrow Wilson Library Foundation, said, "It's a little more than giving back. It's a way that those folks, particularly military transfers and those types of things, can connect with our communities.”
