Traffic Alert: Rt. 53 Traffic Congestion Expected Sat. due to Graduation
Beware of traffic tangles if you're headed to Fluvanna County High School's graduation on Saturday.
Big delays in the area of the high school and Pleasant Grove Park on Route 53 are expected starting at 8:30 a.m.
Law enforcement asks that anyone going to the ceremonies carpool and allow at least one extra hour to get to the event.
All parking is at Pleasant Grove and shuttles will be provided.

The Fluvanna County Sheriff's Office would like to remind the public that the Fluvanna County High School will hold its graduation ceremony this Saturday, 05/24/2014 at 10:00 AM.
Extremely heavy traffic delays in the area of High School and Pleasant Grove Park on Route 53 are expected starting at 8:30 AM. Any person going to the graduation or any other event at Pleasant Grove Park are encouraged to car pool and allow at least one extra hour to get to their event.
All parking for the graduation will be at Pleasant Grove Park. Shuttles will be available. Volunteers will be directing parking in the park. Only vehicles displaying handicap license plates or placards will be permitted to enter the high school parking lot. No other vehicles will be allowed into the High School. Dropping off any persons directly at the high school will not be permitted.
Also expect heavy traffic at the intersections of Route 15 and Route 53 during this time frame.
