The James Madison softball team won an NCAA Tournament game for just the second time in school history, as the Dukes beat DePaul 6-1 in their first game of the Lexington Regional Friday.

JMU scored six unanswered runs, after falling behind 1-0 in the top of the 1st inning.

Taylor Newton hit a home run in the 5th inning, and Jailyn Ford had seven strikeouts while earning the complete game victory.

James Madison will play Kentucky in the winner's bracket Saturday at one o'clock.
