Greene Schools Will Not Make Up Missed Class Time Due to Bomb Threats

Posted: Updated:

Greene County Public Schools have been hit hard with bomb threats this year, resulting in a lot of missed class time.

The most recent was on Thursday, bringing the total to 17 bogus threats this school year.

So far, William Monroe High School students have been out of school a total of 16 hours because of the threats. That's about two and a half days. Students at William Monroe Middle School have missed seven hours, which is just a little more than a day of school.

Right now, schools do not plan on adding any additional days to the end of the year.

Police are still asking anyone with any information about the threats to call the Greene County Sheriff's Office.
