Albemarle Police Release Identity of Suspect in Brown Collision Center Standoff

Albemarle County Police Department Statement

An arrest has been made in connection to the standoff that occurred on Friday night at Browns Automotive.

After being detained on May 9th, Richard Barracks was arrested and charged with one felony count of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. Barracks is 32 years old and from Esmont, Virginia.

He is currently being held at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail.

The investigation into the shooting is on-going.
