CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va (WVIR) - Branden Cogswell drew a four-pitch walk with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 11th inning, and the #1 Virginia baseball team beat Georgia Tech 4-3 in Game Two of their three-game series Saturday night.

The Cavaliers are 13-3 in one-run games this year, and 5-0 in extra innings contests.

Head coach Brian O'Connor says, "Championship team, good teams are defined on whether or not they can win the close ones. We've done a great job of it this year. We've been good at it because we're in a lot of them. We've found a way."

The first pitch of Saturday's game was delayed over three hours due to rain.

Virginia (40-9, 20-6 ACC) has reached the 40-win plateau for the 9th time in the last eleven years.

UVa will go for the sweep on Senior Day Sunday at noon against the Yellow Jackets.
