CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va (WVIR) - The Washington Redskins selected former UVa offensive tackle Morgan Moses with the second pick of the 3rd round (66th overall) in the NFL Draft Friday night.

Moses was a four-year starter at Virginia.

The 6-foot-6, 313 pound lineman moved from right tackle to left tackle for his senior season after Oday Aboushi was drafted by the New York Jets in the 5th round of the 2013 draft.

Moses surrendered just five combined sacks during his junior and senior campaigns.

The Cavaliers have had a player selected in the NFL Draft every season since 1984, and the thirty-one year run is tied for the second longest in the ACC.

Moses is the 10th former UVa player to be selected by the Redskins in team history, and the first since offensive guard Jim Huddleston in 1986.

Washington traded the 34th pick in the draft for the 47th and 78th selections from the Cowboys.

The Redskins drafted Stanford linebacker Trent Murphy with Dallas' 2nd round pick, and Nebraska offensive guard Spencer Long with the Cowboys 3rd round choice.
