JMU Advances to CAA Lacrosse Championship Game

HARRISONBURG, Va (WVIR) - The James Madison women's lacrosse team beat Delaware 13-9 in the CAA Tournament semifinals Friday in Williamsburg.

The 2-seed Dukes will take on Towson in the finals Sunday, after the top-seed Tigers defeated Hofstra 6-5.

Senior attacker Amy Roguski led JMU (11-6) with three goals and three assists against Delaware, while redshirt freshman Betsy Angel added three goals.

James Madison and Towson will play in the CAA Championship game Sunday at one o'clock at Albert-Daly Field in Williamsburg.

JMU has won the conference title a league-best eight times, with the last title coming in 2011.
