CenturyLink Grant Goes to Covenant Lower School in Cville
Students at Charlottesville's Covenant Lower School are about to get their hands on 20 brand-new digital cameras, thanks to a grant from CenturyLink.
Two science and art teachers at the school applied for the technology grant money. They were granted a $2,400 check from the company Wednesday at a school assembly.
"Part of the idea is to get them in the science curriculum as we get them in nature and biology we can take them in the field and photograph flowers, we can photograph our garden plants,” said Chris Hall, academic dean of Covenant Lower School.
The grant money will also allow the school to purchase four new computers.
