Maryland Dominates Virginia 15-9 in ACC Tournament Semifinals
The UVa women's lacrosse team lost 15-9 to Maryland in the ACC tournament semifinals in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts Friday afternoon.
Maryland scored the first seven goals of the game including the first three before Virginia ever had a possession. Maryland's Brooke Griffin tied an ACC tournament record with seven goals. Virginia's Liza Blue had a team-high five goals in the loss.
Virginia falls to 10-8 on the season and now hopes for an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. Maryland will continue its quest for a 6th straight ACC tournament title.
