UPDATE 4/24/2014: Blue Ridge Narcotics and Gang Task Force Press Release

On April 22, 2014, officers from the Blue Ridge Narcotics and Gang Task Force and the Madison County Sheriff’s Office responded to a suspicious person call at a residence in the Burnt Tree subdivision of Madison County. Upon their arrival, officers detected a strong odor of Marijuana coming from within the residence. Shortly thereafter, a search warrant was obtained for the residence. A search of the residence resulted in the seizure of 1,200 doses of Heroin (street value: $48,000 - $60,000), approximately one (1) ounce of Ecstasy (street value: $1,300) and Marijuana.

The following individuals were arrested at the scene and charged with Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Drug, Heroin. Corey Denise Williams, 36 years old from Burnt Tree Way, Orange, Virginia. Michael Eady, 19 years old from Burnt Tree Way, Orange, Virginia.

Kyle Wesley Murray, 26 years old from Burnt Tree Way, Orange, Virginia. Najee Matteux, 20 years old from Burnt Tree Way, Orange, Virginia. Anissa L Rose, 23 years old from Greenwood Ave., Montclair, New Jersey

All subjects are being held at the Central Virginia Regional Jail awaiting court appearances. The investigation is continuing with the assistance of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and additional charges are pending.

The Blue Ridge Narcotics and Gang Task Force is multi-jurisdictional task force responsible for narcotic and gang investigations in the Counties of Culpeper, Fauquier, Greene, Madison and Orange and the Towns of Culpeper and Orange. The Task Force is comprised of Detectives and Investigators from the aforementioned Sheriff’s Offices, Town Police Departments and Special Agents from the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation Drug Enforcement Section.

On April 22, 2014 the Madison County Sheriff’s Office and the Blue Ridge Narcotics/Gang Task Force responded to a suspicious person call in the Burnt Tree subdivision of Madison County. As officers approached the residence a strong odor of marijuana was coming from the residence.

A search warrant was obtained for the residence; the following evidence was seized as a result from the search warrant.

1200 tablets of Heroin, ecstasy and an undetermined amount of other narcotics were seized and have been turned over to the DEA Lab for analysis.

Corey Denise Williams, age 36 of 100 Block of Burnt Tree Way, Orange, Va, was charged with 1 count of possession with intent to distribute a Schedule II Narcotics – Heroin.

Michael Eady, 19, of the 100 block of Burnt Tree Way, Orange, Va., was charged with 1 count of possession with the intent to distribute, a Schedule II Narcotic – Heroin

Kyle Wesley Murray, age 26, of the 100 Block of Burnt Tree Way, Orange, Va., was charged with 1 count of possession with the intent to distribute a Schedule II, Narcotics – Heroin.

Najee Matteux, age 20, of the 100 Block of Burnt Tree Way, Orange, Va., was charged with 1 count of possession with the intent to distribute a Schedule II Narcotics – Heroin.

Anissa L Rose, age 23, of the 500 Block of Greenwood Ave., Montclair, N.J., was charged with 1 count of possession with the intent to distribute a Schedule II Narcotics – Heroin.

Additional charges may be forthcoming. All subjects are being held at the Central Virginia Regional Jail awaiting court appearances.

This is an ongoing investigation involving the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Blue Ridge Narcotics/Gang Task Force and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
