Fishburne Military School Prepares for Army JROTC Championships
WAYNESBORO, Va (WVIR) -
Fishburne Military School's Raiders team is training hard with the hopes of being the best of the best in the Army JROTC Championships.
This is the second year in a row the team has qualified. Fishburne's Raiders are among 21 teams to qualify out of 316 schools. The seven seniors and one sophomore will spend this Saturday at Fort Bragg, NC, testing their strength and endurance.
"We get to go through all the hard things together. We push ourselves to our limits, so we grow as a team pretty well. So we have a pretty good chemistry. And a good chemistry on one of these teams gets you through the events fast quick,” said Chandler Wright, Raiders captain.
The events include a tire flip, a liter carry, a one-rope bridge, a 5K, and a PT test. Whoever has the most points at the end of the day wins.
