A Charlottesville restaurant served up free lunch Tuesday for people who serve their community every day.

Sedona Taphouse offered the free meals for heroes at its location on Millmont Street. Military members, nurses, teachers, and emergency workers could all tap into the free lunch.

The restaurant says it's the least it can do to give back.

“Long hours, underappreciated heroes, that's for sure. That's why we call it our 'heroes discount' and that's why we're calling it our 'heroes lunch,' said Steven Pippin, Sedona Taphouse manager. “These people are our hometown heroes. That's what they do. They take care of us in all these different jobs and facets of our community.”

Sedona Taphouse offers that heroes discount of 10 percent off every day with an ID.
