Inmate Arrested in Staunton after Escaping Work Release
Augusta County Press Release 04/22/2014:
On 4/22/14 at 4:15 p.m., inmate Joanie White was arrested at a private residence on the west end of Staunton by members of the Staunton Police Dept.
I/m White was found hiding within the residence but was arrested without incident. White was transported to the Middle River Regional Jail and remanded back into jail custody.

On April 21, 2014, Middle River Regional Jail inmate Joanie Michelle White was assigned to work release employment at a business in Augusta County, Va. Inmate White failed to return to the Middle River Regional Jail at the scheduled time.
On April 21, 2014, a warrant charging Joanie Michelle White with escape was issued and I/M White is currently wanted on this charge.
Inmate White is described as 5-ft 4-inches in height and weighing 140lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes. White has a large tattoo on her chest/neck region that spells the name (Harvey).
