City Council to Hold Public Hearing on Proposed Recycling Program

Posted: Updated:
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va (WVIR) -

Charlottesville is considering moving the entire city's curbside recycling service to the same pilot program that's already being used in Greenbrier and Belmont. People in those neighborhoods collect recycling in larger, wheeled containers which are picked up every two weeks.

The city says 87 percent of participants are satisfied with the program.

City Council will hold a public hearing on the proposed change Monday at its meeting starting at 7 p.m.
