George Huguely is officially taking his case to the Virginia Supreme Court.
Huguely's defense team has filed an appeal to the state's highest court. He wants his second-degree murder conviction thrown out.
Huguely is guilty of killing is ex-girlfriend Yeardley Love in May of 2010. He is currently serving a 23-year prison sentence.
