GREENE COUNTY, Va (WVIR) -

For a second time in two months, drivers on Route 29 in Greene County were hitting the brakes while utility crews worked to string live power lines across the lanes of traffic.

Rappahannock Electric Cooperative workers used rope and heavy equipment to complete the project that took about five hours. The Greene County Sheriff's Office blocked both directions of Route 29 for 10 to 20 minute intervals.

The workers added six new lines to supply more power to new homes in Greene and Albemarle counties.
