#9 UVa Women's Tennis tops #15 Clemson 5-2 on Senior Day

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va (WVIR) -
The #9 Virginia women's tennis team beat #15 Clemson 5-2 Sunday at the Snyder Tennis Center.

The victory was the final regular season home match of the season for UVa (15-4, 9-1) and seniors Marjorie Baker, Caryssa Peretz, Clare Spooner, and Li Xi were honored before the match.

The Cavaliers won the doubles point, and earned singles victories from Julia Elbaba (6-4, 6-4), Stephanie Nauta (4-6, 6-3, 6-2), Rachel Pierson (1-6, 6-1, 6-2) and Peretz (7-6, 6-2).

Virginia will finish the regular season with four-straight road matches, beginning at NC State Saturday at noon.
