WNRN Pushes for Donations as Spring Fund Drive Wraps Up
A local radio station with ties to some very big acts is asking for your help. WNRN is in the final hours of its spring fund drive, and could use whatever you can afford to give.
Almost half of WNRN's budget comes strictly from donations,
The station started 18-years ago, and caters to the Charlottesville community by programming music based on feedback from listeners.
“Most people don't realize that the Alabama Shakes did their first live radio session right where I'm standing before they did SNL, before they did the Grammys,” said Ian Solla-Yates, development director at WNRN.
Even though the drive is winding down Friday, you can also give anytime online at WNRN.org.
