Crozet Running Inaugural Trail 5K to be Held May 10

Albemarle County Parks and Recreation is pleased to be partnering with Crozet Running for the inaugural Trail 5k to be held at 8am on May 10, 2014, at Mint Springs Valley Park in Crozet, Virginia. The race is a community event meant to bring runners, walkers, and hikers of all ages and abilities out on the trails together. Additional sponsors of the Trail 5k include the Crozet Trails Crew, the Crozet Gazette, AMP Designs, and Lauren Morris of State Farm.
The race course will wind through the mountain trails and culminate at the Pavilion at the upper lake. There is no cost to enter but pre-registration is required. There is a registration limit of 200 runners. Prizes will be awarded for the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as men’s and women’s age group finishers for 12 and under, masters (40-49), and supermasters (50+). All participants who register before April 26th will receive a free t-shirt.
