On March 29, 2014, Virginia State Police seized approximately $400 worth of methamphetamine in Augusta County. On Saturday at approximately 6:45 p.m., the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation’s Appomattox Field Office, with the assistance of the Rockbridge Regional Drug Task Force, executed search warrants in Greenville at a motel along Lee-Jackson Highway and at a private residence. Two meth labs were recovered and five people taken into custody.
The five individuals have each been charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and possession of precursors to manufacture methamphetamine. The arrests and seizures remain an ongoing criminal investigation at this time.
The Rockbridge Regional Drug Task Force consists of members from the City of Lexington Police Department, Buena Vista Police Department, Rockbridge County Sheriff’s and Virginia State Police.
