The University of Virginia School of Law celebrated the centennial of its most prestigious publication: the Virginia Law Review. The journal is considered among the nation's top ten.
The law school marked the 100th birthday with a two-day symposium attended by judges, lawyers, and professors from around the country.
Having an article printed in the Law Review or being chosen to help publish the journal often plays an important role in the future success of students and professors.
One of the most well-attended sessions at the symposium was about an article titled "Goodbye to Law Reviews" published in 1936 which predicted the end of law reviews.
Ironically, these journals have only expanded.
