Buffalo Gap High School to Host Benefit Variety Show

Posted: Updated:

A community in the valley is determined to keep its kids fed.

This Sunday, Buffalo Gap High School is hosting a variety show called “Music Feeds the Children” to raise money for “Katie's Snacks,” a not-for-profit community organization that provides food for the children at Churchville Elementary School.

The goal is to qualify for $10,000 matching grant.

"There's great need within the local community. We have a large amount of students that are on free and reduced lunch. And this is not really for daytime meals, but also to help supplement them after they leave the building over the weekend,” said Jerry Philp, the music director at Buffalo Gap.

Tickets are $10 each and the curtains open at 2:30 Sunday afternoon.

A handmade quilt and a P. Buckley Moss print will be raffled at the concert.
