Grace Race Organizers Rounding up 5K Participants

Posted: Updated:

Tinkling Spring Presbyterian Church in Fishersville is rounding up sign-ups for its annual Grace Race. Organizers say it is a day filled with fun that also goes to a good cause.

The Grace Race will be held Saturday, April 5.  Activities include a pancake breakfast, auction and raffle, music, a cornhole tournament, and a 5K race. The proceeds will benefit the Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center and the Boys and Girls Club of Waynesboro, Staunton and Augusta County.

Ben Spargur of Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center Food Service said, "I like to see that I'm doing something for a good cause, more than just flipping pancakes or just feeding people. I know that what I’m doing is working as a machine that goes toward a greater cause."

There is a $30 registration fee for the event, but families are capped at $60 to participate.
