Virginia Festival of the Book Returns to Charlottesville
Charlottesville will be a book lover's heaven this week. The five-day Virginia Festival of the Book is coming back for its 20th year.
Organizers say there are events for all age groups, covering every genre. There are also special programs to celebrate the festival's big anniversary, including one called "Homecoming" at the Paramount Theater Saturday night.
“I think it's a very friendly festival. I mean people really do have the chance to talk to authors individually and meet up with other people that are fascinated with books and reading and literacy,” said program director Nancy Damon.
The festival kicks off Wednesday morning with a leadership breakfast. Events will run until Sunday afternoon.
