Shortly after being crowned the ACC Champions, the Virginia men's basketball team claimed the East region one-seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Head coach Tony Bennett and his 28-6 Cavaliers will open up against 16-seed Coastal Carolina (21-12) and former Clemson coach, Cliff Ellis, in an NCAA second-round game played in Raleigh, N.C., at PNC Arena on Friday March 21.

Tipoff will be at 9:25 PM and it will be televised on TBS.

The winner of the Virginia-Coastal Carolina game will face 8 seed Memphis or 9 seed George Washington in the third round Sunday, March 23rd.

This marks Virginia's first NCAA appearance since 2012, and their second showing under 2014 ACC Coach of the Year Tony Bennett.
