The 11th annual Cinderella's Closet kicked off Friday at Monticello High School.
Doors opened at 4:30 p.m. to make purchases. The dresses range from cocktail length to floor length and cost $25 for shoppers with a student ID from any school and $35 for other community members.
Monticello students say the sale helps girls look their best on a budget.
"It's important to have an event like Cinderella's Closet because every girl does want to feel like a princess and having an event like this makes sure every kid can feel like a princess when they want to,” said librarian Ida Mae Craddock.
The sale continues Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Proceeds go to the PTSO, the prom fund, and the Make a Difference fund, which helps students cover athletic fees and testing fees.
