'In the Kutt' Owner Arrested on Drug Charges After Search of BarbershopPosted: Updated:

On March 14, 2014 the Blue Ridge Narcotics and Gang Task Force (BRNGTF) and officials from the Greene County Sheriff’s Office executed narcotics search warrant at a barbershop in Stanardsville (Greene County) named “In The Kutt”. Items seized included one and one half (1½) ounces of Marijuana, digital scales and various prescription pills, to include Percocet and Vicodin.
Shawn Keith Harvey, 48 years of age from Culpeper, VA was arrested at the scene of the search warrant and charged with possession with the intent to distribute Marijuana and possession of with intent to distribute schedule II drugs (Percocet and Vicodin). Mr Harvey is the owner and sole employee of “In The Kutt”, which is located beside the Greene County Court House and is also in close proximity to a church and the Greene County public Schools.
This was a four (4) month investigation that included controlled purchases of drugs, interviews, surveillance and other investigative techniques.
The Blue Ridge Narcotics and Gang Task Force is a Multi-Jurisdictional Task Force responsible for narcotic and gang investigations in the counties of Culpeper, Fauquier, Greene, Madison, Orange and the towns of Culpeper and Orange. It is comprised of Detectives and Investigators from the aforementioned Sheriff’s Offices, Town Police Departments and Special Agents from the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation Drug Enforcement Section.
