Mary Baldwin College students teach children about Inuits painting their stories, Aboriginal dot painting, face painting in a Kenyan tribe and the East Indian art Mehndi, which is painting the skin using henna.
Janaezjah Ryder says it's important to teach children global awareness by really connecting through the art.
"You feel more in-tune if you're hands-on, like, ‘oh this is what they do and I'm like them now, because I can see it, I understand it and I did it,’" Ryder said.
The annual juried youth art show is also on display through the end of the month.
