(Natural Bridge, VA) Virginia’s Natural Bridge, a National Historic Landmark has been a major Shenandoah Valley attraction for visitors since the 1700s. For many of those years the Historic Hotel and Conference Center has welcomed guests to the area, and continues to extend its brand of Virginia hospitality to travelers with exciting plans for capital improvements, programs and activities. The revitalization work has already begun and the hotel is ready to graciously welcome guests on Friday, March 14th.

Natural Bridge Park is hosting its fourth annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration on Saturday, March 15th beginning at noon with a "Shamrock Search" and tour of the Natural Bridge for just $5 admission if visitors wear green. Live bluegrass music, local craft beer tasting and Irish themed dining are on the lunch and dinner menus. Those wishing to extend the weekend festivities overnight may take advantage of the St. Patty's Day Hotel Package (2 adults, children are free) which includes admission to the Natural Bridge and Caverns, scheduled activities, dinner and Sunday morning breakfast for $149.

The property recently passed into the hands of the Virginia Conservation Legacy Fund with the commitment toward Conservation, Education and Outdoor Recreation. As the hotel moves briskly into the high tourism season, interior and exterior improvements will be made in a manner that will not be disruptive to guests. “There’s no place like it!" said Tom Clarke, CEO of the Virginia Conservation Legacy Fund. “Our vision for Natural Bridge is to be the center piece of the Virginia State Parks system. We expect Natural Bridge to become a family destination resort that represents the essence of outdoor recreation, historic preservation, and environmental conservation in Virginia”.

Natural Bridge will ultimately become a part of Virginia’s award-wining State Parks system. In the meantime, millions in capital improvements are being invested with an enhanced array of services and programs planned for the visitor. The result will be a new star in the crown of Virginia’s Hospitality and Travel Industry with the creation of more than 150 new jobs slated for the future. The Natural Bridge Caverns will be open for touring and popular Monacan Living History programs are being expanded. New hiking trails are being prepared for the public including a the recent creation of a three-mile loop that starts behind the hotel, now ready for exploration.
