Building Goodness Foundation Announces 2014 Projects
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va (WVIR) -
Charlottesville's Building Goodness Foundation (BGF) is kicking off its 15th year with a slew of new projects to help those in need. The organization announced projects on the next big build during a press conference at CitySpace in downtown Charlottesville Tuesday morning.
BGF will undertake eight international projects in the coming year in several different countries - including one in Africa.
Tuesday, those who have been to the sites where projects will get underway spoke about the importance of them.
BGF is working on a women's health clinic and birthing center in Haiti along with a new a school. In El Salvador, BGF wants to design a clinic. The organization also wants to build a women's health clinic in Liberia.
"Liberia we found to be a country that Liberians love. War has taken a horrible toll and the healthcare resources are woefully inadequate. But there's a lot of hope and potential and resilience in the people," said Susan Goins-Eplee, Building Goodness Foundation.
BGF is also kicking off a slew of local projects. Those include working with places like the Music Resource Center and the Barrett Early Learning Center.
All of these projects require time and money. To donate or participate, click here.
