Herbs like rosemary can be used for pink eye, infection, and improving memory. Mullein weed can be used for bronchitis and as a relaxant – and that's just the beginning.
Kathleen Maier owns Sacred Plant Traditions. She has at least a hundred herbs that can help with everything from colds, to headaches, to stress, and even bone realignment. She says people can learn to grow herbs in their backyard, even if they live in the city and don't have much space.
Maier is teaching her secrets in a new class offered by PVCC's Workforce Services.
"What we're talking about is really setting up that sanctuary and how to plant a garden and which herbs. It’s amazing what you can do with 10 herbs,” said Maier.
