Greater Augusta Regional Tourism Offering Marketing Grants
There’s good news for businesses looking to attract tourists to the Shenandoah Valley.
Greater Augusta Regional Tourism (GART) is launching a pilot program that would partner eight businesses with a $2,500 grant toward marketing. It's open to businesses in Staunton, Waynesboro and Augusta County.
GART is looking for projects that bring people to the area as a whole.
"We're interested in seeing things like new initiatives, things that haven't happened before. Creative partnerships, ways to expand projects, and all of those things are really to attract more visitors to our area,” said Amanda Glover, Augusta County economic development director.
GART is asking for the same application required by the Virginia Tourism Corporation. It can be delivered to your nearest tourism office two weeks before the VTC deadline.
